friday rendezvous
In the Soka Youth Centre (SYC), activities and programme are organized to develop and foster youth for the 21st century .In this year 2007, a series of events titled Friday Rendezvous are held every 1st to 4th Fridays from 7:30pm onwards at the Youth Centre.
2nd Friday “Youth Peace Prayer Meeting” sees a gathering of youth serious about peace, to first take action through prayers. 3rd Friday “Enrichment Workshop” where professionals are invited to give talks and skill-trainings in self- and youth development. 4th Friday “Concert Nite” is a night to chill out with friends while being entertained by songs, music and dances. Counselling for Youth in conjunction with these Friday events also began in April to provide professional advice on problems youth/student face. The sessions are conducted by trained professional counsellors from the SSA Educator Group. For the July 2007 programme, click here. Interested performers may also fill up the Registration Form and suitable performance will be put into the programme based on the monthly theme. |
