“I am a Citizen of the World” Forum and Cultural Day 1996

Held in conjunction with the UNICEF’s 50th year of founding, this project supported by the UNICEF was undertaken with the aim to open up students’ lives to a global perspective of the world.  Secondary and pre-university students spent their vacation researching into problems and conditions faced by children and youth in other countries, as well as the culture of different countries, visiting not only the library but also the UNICEF office, embassies and high commissions of different countries.  On this day, the students creatively presented what they have learned in the form of a forum and cultural performances, supported by a weeklong exhibition.
