SSA firmly believes in the social role and contribution of Buddhism and is committed to working towards peace and social progress.  SSA actively promotes cultural, community and educational activities that benefit the community.

Some key community events of SSA are the mass display performances at National Day parades, Chingay parade performances, humanitarian relief work, peace lectures and conferences, public education exhibition on the environment theme, senior citizen education and activity programme, to name but a few.
