Activity Centres

Singapore Soka Association activity centres serve as venues for the organisation to conduct monthly events such as religious ceremonies, prayer sessions, Buddhist lecture classes and discussions. Besides, the centres are also grounds for in-house preparation works for community projects and rehearsals for cultural performances. The centres' auditoriums are also used to stage in-house concerts, exhibitions, book fairs etc.

SSA Headquarters

The SSA Headquarters Building was officially opened on January 1, 1993 by Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong. It houses the central administration of the Association.

The Ikeda Culture Auditorium on the second storey is the centre's main prayer hall. The auditorium with capacity for some 800 people has been the venue for some of the Association's major events like world peace prayer sessions, buddhist lectures, book exhibitions and concerts.

The administration office and publications department are on the first storey. Located at the basement is the Soka Women's Centre that includes the SWC Office, Conference Room and the Sales Room.

Tampines Soka Centre

The Tampines Soka Centre was officially opened on February 8, 1998 by Mr Yatiman Yusof, Senior Parliamentary Secretary of Ministry of Information and the Arts, and Member of Parliament for Tampines GRC. 

The three-storey building houses the Diamond Hall, which is also the venue for wedding ceremony, on the ground floor. Situated on level 2 is an auditorium with a seating capacity 400. A large conference room and several prayer rooms can be found on level 3 of the building. The carpark area is located at the basement.

Soka Culture Centre

The Soka Culture Centre is located at Jurong West Street 76. It was officially opened on August 30, 1998 by Mr Peter Chen, then Senior Minister of State for Education and Member of Parliament for Hong Kah GRC.

The centre is design-built as a facility that fulfils both the needs of the membership as a place for religious gathering, as well as a centre for the promotion of arts and cultural events. The Soka Culture Centre has a 500-seat concert hall cum auditorium equipped with sound and lighting facilities. SCC also has two exhibition halls, an 80-seat amphitheatre and several small rooms for meeting and conference purposes.

Exhibitions featured include photographic works of SGI President Ikeda and "Liu Kang at 88" - an exhibition of the late Singapore pioneer artist's oil paintings.

Geylang Soka Centre

The Geylang Soka Centre is the first activity centre of the Association. This meeting facility has been serving the needs of the pioneer members since the early 1970s.

The Centre is currently utilised for back-stage preparation works and practice ground for SSA's cultural activities. Very often, members can be seen working till the wee hours of the morning preparing props and costumes for performances at events such as National Day Parade and Chingay.

Telok Blangah Soka Centre

The Telok Blangah Soka Centre was officially opened on October 12, 1984 by SGI Vice President Matsuyama. Its main prayer hall on the second storey, named Hall of Eternal Happiness has a capacity of 600. The Rainbow Hall on the mezzanine level has capacity for 50. The Lion Hall on the first storey has capacity for 100. The Sales Room is located on the first storey. The Centre hosted the first visit of Soka Gakkai International President Daisaku Ikeda to Singapore in February 1988.

Soka Youth Centre

The Soka Youth Centre, established on April 7, 2001, is dedicated to youth development. The four-storey building houses an office, a library, a conference room, a prayer hall cum auditorium, each with a capacity of 300. The Soka Youth Centre was converted from the Pasir Panjang Soka Centre, which was officially opened on March 16, 1987.

The Soka Youth Centre is managed by youth division members.

SSA Library

Senja Soka Centre

The Senja Soka Centre was officially opened by Mr David T E Lim, then Acting Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts on October 12, 2002. Located near the Senja LRT station, the SSC is the first activity centre established in the northern region. It is also the first SSA centre to house a columbarium.

The four-storey building has nine prayer halls and rooms. The main prayer hall, named Hall of Gratitude, is at level four. This column-free hall has a capacity of 700 has adjacent toilets and preparation rooms. 

The An-Le Temple (meaning Temple of Peace and Happiness) that was officially opened on March 16, 1997. The An-Le Temple was formerly located at Tampines Soka Centre.

The columbarium, named An-Le Memorial Hall, is specially designed and equipped to meet the members' needs for a peaceful final resting place for their deceased family members.
